| Long Veterinary Clinic is an established 45 year old practice with a motivated younger employer seeking a part time or full time associate to join our team. The practice is situated fifteen minutes North of Kansas City, Missouri on I35 in Kearney. Kearney has excellent schools and accessibility to Liberty/Kansas City metro for great shopping and dining experiences. All applicants will be considered. Mixed animal experience is a plus but not necessary. We are moving to a shift schedule with employees and Veterinarians. The applicants will have more flexibility in their schedules for optimum work life balance. Full time associates will be paid a base salary based on level of experience. They will also qualify for production pay of 23% above the base production benchmark. Part time applicants will be paid 23% of production with no base salary. Dr. Leighr has mentored students and Veterinarians from around the country for nearly 22 years. Dr. Leighr places an emphasis on applicants from out of state and will pay a premium to learn what they have to offer. Furthermore, Dr. Leighr has nearly 80,000 hours of clinical experience ranging from Equine Reproduction (stallion collection, AI, Shipping semen), Equine Dentistry (intra-oral extractions, power float, stubbs dentistry), on farm cattle work (herd health, palpation, AI, sonogram, etc), small animal soft tissue and orthopedic surgery (he performs bone and CCL surgeries), extensive Equine and small animal medicine experience. Dr. Leighr believes in empowering his clients through education. He is seeking smart inquisitive young minds excited about the work that is Veterinary Medicine. Long Veterinary Clinic is a Progressive Mixed Animal Practice with Sound Eklin Digital Radiography for Equine and Small Animal patients, in house blood analyzers, ultrasound, tonometry, bone plating, endoscopy, power float, two ambulatory vehicles for house and farm calls, 20+horse stalls, outside paddocks, indoor arena, large doggie day care yard, grooming, small animal boarding and much much more.
