Review scientific content and writes, edits, proofreads, and formats content for scientific manuscripts, grant applications, websites and conference reports.
Prepare content for scientific conferences, presentations, and multiple audiences; including assembling and organizing data into text and figures for scientific presentations, publications, grant applications, reports, and websites.
Correspond with editors and professional staff of scientific journals to ensure manuscript submission requirements are met and submissions for publication are complete.
Partner with and mentors lab members to shepherd scientific articles to publication.
Collaborates with authors to resolve routine and moderate problems using existing procedures and to clarify meaning. Assists with quality control by proofreading edited manuscripts.
Coordinate all stages of manuscript editing and proof review up to the time the book is bound and edit and approve catalog and jacket materials with guidance from others.
Performs other related work as needed.
PhD in the health or social sciences.
Excellent writing, editing and proof reading skills.
Demonstrated advanced communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to research papers.
Excellent writing skills; able to produce clear, compelling, and eloquent text. Â
Must have project coordination and organizational skills and manage project timelines and deliverables,
Must be self-directed and able to work in a team-based environment with minimal supervision.
Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Office and End Note Intermediate user of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Experience with website content management systems is a plus.
