Department IND INST ON DISABILITY/COMMNTY (BL-IIDC-IUBLA) Department Information The Indiana Institute on Disability and Community at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana is seeking a Research Associate for the Early Childhood Center. The Early Childhood Center is dedicated to improving early childhood care and education services that result in positive outcomes for all young children, ages birth through kindergarten, and their families. Specific responsibilities are outlined below. Job Summary We are seeking an individual with expertise in early intervention practices to assist us with two major contracts with Indiana's First Steps program. Specific duties and responsibilities:
Required Qualifications Master's degree in early intervention (early childhood special education speech and language, occupational therapy, physical therapy). Extensive knowledge and experience working in the field of early intervention and services for young children with disabilities and their families. Documented experience in designing and carrying out program and professional development efforts for fostering evidence-based practices. Demonstrated professional writing skills and a record of past publications and written products. Experience working collaboratively with multiple disciplines and representatives of community/state agencies and institutions in creating collaborative research and program development/outreach efforts. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide diversity of individuals. Working Conditions / Demands Equipment utilized: computer, printer, large color printer, scanner, telephone. Work Location Bloomington, Indiana Remote work arrangements are possible for this position.
