The College Arts & Humanities Institute (CAHI) provides research funding for IU Bloomington faculty and graduate students of arts and humanities programs in the College of Arts & Sciences. The Institute also organizes several events throughout the year, including public lectures, readings, and writing workshops, across campus and at CAHI.
CAHI seeks an assistant to provide support to the Institute (and affiliated centers) with administrative duties and general affairs, including but not limited to: event logistics (also including setup and breakdown of events at CAHI); arranging guest travel; processing incoming applications for funding; publicity/social media; development of publicity materials; proofreading of various other materials.
Affiliated centers include the Renaissance Studies Program and the Center for Theoretical Inquiry in the Humanities.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, with punctuality and dependability. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. High attention to detail.
Bachelor's degree. Familiarity with IU and IU systems. Experience with various social media platforms.
Working Conditions / Demands
Traditional office setting.
Approximately $14.00 per hour.
Approximately 20 hours per week during the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. May occasionally need to work events outside of regular office hours.
Position is currently a commitment for this academic year.
