Westminster School for Young Children (WSYC) seeks a detail-oriented, flexible, and positive professional with at least 5 years of experience working in a school office environment, or similar.
WSYC serves children 1 through 5 years of age and partners with families to provide developmentally-appropriate preschool education in a respectful, creative, and nurturing Christian environment. Support the Director and Assistant Director as needed with a variety of tasks
Coordinates school communications – answer phone, send list-serve emails, design monthly digital newsletters, and assist in maintaining and updating the school’s website and social media
Parent Liaison – assist parent volunteers with school events and programs, communicate transportation changes and ensure transportation records are accurate and up to date
Admissions and enrollment assistant – support the Director and Assistant Director in maintaining student admissions and enrollment accounts through a third-party software, including but not limited to data entry and reporting
Support the day-to-day functions of the school including, but not limited to, assisting with student arrival and dismissal, assisting with fire drills, greeting visitors to the school and maintaining visitor logs, assisting with inclement weather notifications and ensuring that all school documents are up-to-date and distributed as needed
Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, works well on a team, has the ability to be self-directed and communicates effectively in writing. Proficiency with technology is necessary. The school day is from 8:45 am – 2:00 pm and the Office Manager’s typical work day is 8:30 am – 3 pm.
