The Manufacturing Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has openings for Adjunct Instructors to teach all levels of general Manufacturing programing. Programs include Applied Processing Tech, Computerized Manufacturing and Maintenance, Electronics and Engineering Tech, Industrial Maintenance Tech, and Welding.
The primary responsibilities of these positions are to teach courses, maintain some office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities, and utilization of a learning management system such as Blackboard for communication and feedback. These positions may teach on any of our Jefferson's campus.
Please note that this is an adjunct pool. We will only contact applicants as needed for classes.
Varies by program, but most programs require an Associate degree in a related area, or Associate degree in a different area and relevant experience, or a Journeyman's card with relevant experience in the discipline. Candidates who have experience with intersectional, inclusive instruction and with a demonstrated ability to incorporate diverse perspectives into teaching and student engagement are encouraged to identify those experiences in the application materials. Candidates should also have experience and sensitivity working with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to fostering an inclusive work and learning environment in which students from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and personal experiences are welcomed and can thrive.
