Westtown School is seeking qualified substitute teachers for our Lower School. Westtown School is an independent, co-educational, pre-K to 12, college preparatory day and boarding school located in suburban West Chester, PA, approximately 30 miles from Philadelphia. Situated on a beautiful 600-acre campus, Westtown offers state-of-the-art facilities where our committed faculty and staff inspire and prepare our students to be stewards and leaders of a better world. Students at Westtown are challenged to realize their intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual potential. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1-3 years of classroom teaching experience at the elementary school level, an understanding of the cognitive and social-emotional development of children at this age, as well as a strong knowledge of instruction and assessment practices in Mathematics and English Language Arts. Ideal candidates will be versed in interdisciplinary curriculum, project work, and anti-bias curriculum. A Bachelor’s degree is required. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate:
