The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine are searching for a General Thoracic Surgeon to augment our growing practice in Thoracic Oncology. This is a full-time clinical appointment with associated, part-time, non-tenure track academic appointment. The Division currently consists of two general thoracic surgeons and four cardiothoracic surgeons.
Primary duties include serving as attending surgeon in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, didactic education, surgical training of residents, medical students, and fellows.
QUALIFICATIONS The candidate must have completed a residency in cardiothoracic surgery, preferably in a thoracic track, and be board-eligible or certified in thoracic surgery. The position will offer the opportunity to build a busy clinical practice while pursuing academic interests and teaching. The Division's strategic plan involves adding an additional general thoracic surgeon within the next 4 years.
