We are seeking a veterinary technician/assistant for part-time hours including some weekend shifts.
We prefer someone with 1-3 years experience in the veterinary field. The candidate should be proficient in all aspects of animal care including but not limited to: administration of oral and injectable medications/treatments, venipuncture, patient monitoring, compassionate patient restraint, taking x-rays, running lab work, obtaining patient history and basic knowledge of vaccine protocols for canines and felines. The candidate should also have excellent communication skills with clients and co-workers, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in an environment that can be fast-paced and hectic at times. The candidate should also have a strong work ethic and be willing to go the extra mile to provide a high standard of care for our patients and clients.
