 Southwest Virginia Community College is in search of a part time adjunct faculty Pharmacy Technician instructor. This position will serve Southwest Virginia Community College's Workforce division and instructional workload will be based on demand in surrounding communities serviced by Southwest Virginia Community College. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and create a student-oriented learning environment. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: •Creates course curriculum, assignments, and assessments; refines and modifies as industry dictates. •Expected to be reliable, responsible, professional, and efficient. •Promotes and supports student success. •Teaches Pharmacy Technician courses as assigned utilizing a curriculum that prepares and enables students to receive a credential and pass applicable exams to become a Pharmacy Technician. •Serve as an academic advisor to a diverse population of students. •Other duties may be assigned as required.

| Must be a pharmacist with a current and unrestricted license OR a pharmacy technician with at least one year of experience performing technician tasks and hold a current, unrestricted registration in Virginia or current PTCB certification. The successful candidate must have previous experience in a pharmacy setting. The successfully candidate also must possess an expert level of skills and abilities necessary to pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam. Must also possess knowledge of local and regional health care facilities and systems. Must be very detailed oriented and have ability to meet set deadlines. |
