Landon School is an independent school for boys in grades 3–12, located on a beautiful 75 acre campus in Bethesda, Maryland. Founded in 1929, our mission is to prepare talented boys for productive lives as accomplished, responsible and caring men whose actions are guided by the principles of perseverance, teamwork, honor, and fair play.
Landon is a diverse community committed to creating an environment where boys are encouraged to strive, reach, and endeavor towards becoming their best selves. This is done through our teacher-coach-mentor model of instruction, our caring and dedicated faculty, and a robust co-curricular program.
Landon seeks part-time classroom proctors in all grades (3-12) for the 2020-21 school year. Classroom proctors will supervise students in classes where a teacher is teaching remotely. Proctors will be charged with managing student behavior, helping resolve any low level technical issues that arise, and coordinating with teachers regarding lesson planning and execution. A high school degree is required, with relevant coursework in college desirable. Those interested in beginning a career in teaching are also welcome to apply. Landon also seeks substitute teachers for all grades (3-12) for the 2020-21 school year. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and those interested in beginning a career in teaching are welcome to apply. To apply for either position, please send a cover letter and resume, along with contact information for three professional references, to morgan_pearson@landon.net. No phone inquiries please.
