Primarily responsible for the admissions and records needs of the college, as well as the coordination of graduation-related processes. This includes, but isn't limited to: grades, processing of transfer credit, credit by exam, and substitution/waiver forms, remaining current on VCCS policies, procedures, and best practices related to A&R, correspondence with campus stakeholders related to A&R needs, application issues, and managing SIS processes related to beginning/end term, academic advising, etc. Additionally, this position is responsible for coordinating the graduation process, graduation ceremony preparation, and additional A&R responsibilities (e.g. entering graduation information into Peoplesoft, mailing diplomas, purging permanent student files for destruction) following graduation.
Excellent computer skills; ability to interpret and enter data; command of English language both oral and written; ability to prepare detailed reports; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail; experience with information system management (preferably Peoplesoft); familiarity with FERPA and privacy issues. Associate's degree in Business Management, Administrative Support, Education, Records Management or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
