This is a professional position responsible for managing rentals for business and industry and community events. Work closely with rental clients regarding reservations, contracts, payments, room set ups and equipment needs. Manage all facility rentals using EventPro software. Supervise and schedule Events Specialists to set up rooms for upcoming events and monitor those events ensuring the utmost satisfaction of the WDC clients and guests. Supervise and schedule Housekeeping to ensure facilities are clean and safe and step-in to perform cleaning and sanitation as needed between classes/events. Work directly with maintenance, security, IT, and other college personnel for facility and guest needs; oversee facility maintenance and upkeep. Fill in for the Events Specialist as needed for community, private, public, internal and business and industry events, maintaining safety and security of building and guests; perform independently or assist co-workers with room and equipment set up; monitor events to ensure the utmost satisfaction of WDC clients and their guests.
Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent customer service and relationship building skills required when communicating with clients, business partners, administrative staff, and faculty; ability to stay organized while multi-tasking in a fast-past environment; work independently with minimal supervision; must possess knowledge of basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to interpret and explain college and/or Workforce Development Center (WDC) policies and procedures to clients; ability to respond in a timely and professional manner to routine inquiries regarding WDC rental policies and procedures and availability; ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues; ability to work flexible schedule that may include some holidays, evenings and occasional weekends to set up for and/or monitor events at the WDC. Requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds necessary to move tables for events.
